THE HEART
We have opened a heart and some lungs.
Then they asked us the following questions...
What are the function of the trachea rings?
The impede a collapse during our respiration.
Which cavity will you reach if you introduce straw through the aorta? the pulmonary artery? the pulmonary veins? the vena cavae?
If you introduce it through the aorta you will rich the left ventricle; through the pulmonary vein, the left atrium; through the pulmonary artery, the right ventricle and through the vena cavae the right atrium .
Why are the ventricles walls thicker than the atria walls?Because they need more muscle because the blood will be bumped further.
Are the ventricles walls equal thick?
No, the left ventricle wall is thicker because it needs to bump blood to the whole body.
Which is the function of the membranous folds which are in the aorta base?
To allow the expulsion of the blood.
Which are the difference between the mitral valve and the tricuspid valve?
The part where they are and the part they control. The mitral valve is formed by 2 membranes and allows the flow of the blood from left atrium to the left ventricle. The tricuspid valve is made up by 3 membranes allows the flow of the blood from the right atrium to the right ventricle.
